This front sump road race pan is for Ford 289-302. It has a 9 qt. system capacity, 8" deep, 12" wide, 14 ga. sump designed for Cobra kit cars. This pan includes our four trap door baffle and directional runner system with a bolt in slosh baffle to control oil slosh. Pan also includes a crank scraper, a provision for our optional pan mounted dipstick, an oil temperature fitting, and a magnetic drain plug. This pan requires our 15-611 pickup.

This 289-302 Ford Crank Scraper allows you to maximize the horsepower savings in the oil system by removing the oil from the rotating assembly. The crank scraper mounts between the pan and the block and extends out toward the crankshaft. As the crankshaft spins the crank scraper catches oil spray and returns it to the bottom of the pan. This reduces windage around the crankshaft and frees up horsepower. Our crank scrapers are notched for stock stroke and rod combinations so it will need to be trimmed for larger configurations.

This deep sump oil pan is for 289-302 blocks in fox body mustangs with main supports. It has a 9" deep sump and a 7 quart system capacity. The extra deep sump and a slosh baffle provide increased oil control, while the deletion of the crank scraper allows clearance for most main supports. Pan also includes a provision for a pan mounted dipstick and magnetic drain plugs. This pan requires one of our pickups.
