This open chassis "L" style aluminum wet sump is for ’85 and earlier sm block chevys with left or rear mounted starters. This oil pan is designed for chassis without x-members under the engine (asphalt and dirt modifieds, sprint cars, and some late models). It has an 11-1/2" wide, 16" long, 7" deep “L” sump with a 9 quart system capacity. The pan features six trap door baffles, directional oil runners, a bolt in slosh baffle, and a screened windage tray. It also includes a provison for our pan mounted dipstick, a temperature fitting and a magnetic drain plug. Requires one of our pickups.
