SB Chevy Vortec Crosswind Satin Professional Products CrossWind Vortec manifolds are designed for 1995 and earlier block models using 1996 and later Vortec (Gen 1+) cylinder heads or the Edelbrock E-Tec heads. They can also be used on 1996 and later Vortec engines, but first require running a short length of heater hose from a pipe tapped hole in the front of the manifold to the 5/8 in. hose nipple on the passenger's side of the water pump.1996 and later Vortec model blocks do not have a water bypass in the block, which is taken care of by Professional Products modified manifold.
